As a long standing member of the SAP Configuration Workgroup (CWG) we are looking very much forward to this European Conference that showcases several results from our partnership with SAP.
Building on the SAP Variant Configurator Platform
As an ISV partner with SAP we have developed a suite of utillities that supplements the SAP configurator platform. There is an Extractor that generates an open XML representation of SAP product models, a Distiller that analyzes SAP models for consistency, VC-Doc that provides an interactive SAP product model browser and a Publisher that makes SAP configurators available in new contexts. Together with our partner eSpline we introduced SilverMine program at the european CWG conference last year in the Salzburg. This program has been open exclusively to CWG members and consists of collecting, processing and analyzing SAP-VC product models. We have found that the CWG members really do have a wealth of product knowledge stored not in a silver mine but within their SAP-VC product definitions.
